Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help ​before and during the event with ​setup, tear down, doors, food, ​transportation, and more!

All Pilgrims Church

Located in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, at the ​intersection of Broadway and Republican, this beautiful ​venue features a private garden entrance, gorgeous ​chandeliers, lofted arch ceilings, and a private ​lounge/champagne room.

TRYST CODE OF CONDUCT

All dancers deserve to feel safe. By attending the Seattle Tango Tryst, you agree to our code of conduct, below:

  • Trysters are respectful toward individuals of all races, religions, cultures, sexual orientations, genders, ability, and all other ​forms/labels that make each of us unique.
  • Argentine tango is an intimate dance. Trysters do not abuse the close nature of the dance through unwanted behavior.
  • Trysters are welcome to communicate their wants/needs/boundaries clearly, directly, and respectfully.
  • Trysters respect a “no” when interacting with each other.
  • If someone declines an invitation or chooses to end a tanda early, their choice is respected without question or need for explanation.
  • If body contact feels too close, Trysters are welcome to adopt a more open stance/embrace and clearly communicate this to their ​partner. Partners always respect this choice.
  • Trysters treat others with kindness, courtesy, and respect, on and off the dance floor, in person and digitally.
  • Trysters do NOT tango if they are too intoxicated to dance. (You may be asked to leave the event if this occurs.)
  • Trysters do NOT tango if they are sick.
  • Trysters do NOT tolerate harassment. (Harassment includes but is not limited to: inappropriate verbal comments, verbal abuse, ​deliberate intimidation, unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention, or displaying inappropriate images or videos.)
  • If asked to stop a harassing behavior, Trysters comply immediately.
